Keeping Our Girls Safe Memorial Motorcycle Ride July 30, 2017
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT!!!!
IT WAS AN AWESOME RIDE!!!
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
On July 19th, 2016, Sierah Joughin went for a bicycle ride in rural northwest Ohio to visit her longtime beau & future husband, Josh. Josh, who is not a bicycle ride enthusiast, hopped on his motorcycle when it was time for her to head home. He rode next to her on his motorcycle until parting ways -- kissing her good bye.... Sierah did not make it home that evening.
The memorial motorcycle ride was the brain child of Josh, Josh's Mom and sister along with Sierah's mom to celebrate the life of Sierah Joughin and the love that was shared between her and Josh Kolasinski.
Keeping Our Girls Safe was the name that Josh chose for this non-profit organization. Josh's mission is to increase women's personal safety awareness, educate women on personal self-defense, and possibly fund scholarships in the future in Sierah and Josh's name.
The 2016 ride was organized in 8 weeks with the coordination of many wonderful people that also wanted to support Josh. The ride hosted over 400 motorcycles and over 600 people. This ride was one of the most successful motorcycle rides that Toledo Harley has ever had.
The registration monies for the 2016 ride are being used to fund self-defense classes FREE of charge for women. Self-defense classes began in February, 2017. They are being given by Wauseon & Sylvania Police Department Officers. To date there have been 10 successful classes.
Josh has decided to make this memorial ride an annual event to continue to help women remain as strong as possible against the evil of the world that would want to do them harm and to celebrate the love that Sierah and him shared.
KOGS - Keeping Our Girls Safe has become a recognized incorporated non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to be able to continue to educate women in safety awareness and personal self-defense.
Please join us for the 2017 Sierah and Josh Memorial Motorcycle Ride to be held on July 30, 2017.
